Job summary

FM Conway is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative for its Newhaven Asphalt Plant in Newhaven, East Sussex. The role covers a mix of day and night shifts on a permanent basis, focusing on operating the plant and related equipment to support production for customers.

You will be part of a team that loads materials, handles loading shovel tasks, and ensures weighbridge operations and safety procedures are followed. The position emphasizes reliability and contribution to site profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with good communications skills and a full UK driving license.
• Must be flexible, computer literate and health and safety conscious.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner in line with FMC procedures.
• Load materials onto vehicles.
• Undertake loading shovel operations as required.
• Operate weighbridge functions as required.
• Follow site Health & Safety procedures.
• Contribute to the overall well-being and profitability of the site and the business.
