Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Snodland, Kent, is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to help run the asphalt plant.

This hands-on role covers mixing asphalt with computer systems, operating weighbridge, driving mobile plant, and supporting site operations to keep production efficient.

If you are proactive, safety-conscious and ready to get stuck in, training will be provided for the right candidate and overtime is available to support production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Asphalt, Readymix, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong IT skills are essential for operating our systems.
• Previous experience with mobile plant operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Run the site to help meet production targets and maintain standards.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver materials and timely deliveries.
• Maintain stock levels and support production goals.
• Operate mobile plant and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections and take action on any defects.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow safety procedures.
• Ensure the plant complies with safety and operational requirements.

oin Our Team in Snodland, Kent - Be the Driving Force Behind Our Asphalt Operations! Are you a skilled and motivated Multi Skilled Operative looking for your next challenge? Do you thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment where no two days are the same? If so, we want to hear from you! We’re currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative at our asphalt plant in Snodland, Kent. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the site, including mixing asphalt using advanced computer systems, operating the weighbridge, driving mobile plant, and supporting various site operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.

What You'll Be Doing:

Reporting to the Section Manager, you'll play a key role in helping the team meet production targets and maintain high standards across the site.

• Collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality materials and timely deliveries to customers
• Supporting production goals and ensuring stock levels are maintained
• Operating mobile plant and machinery safely and efficiently
• Conducting inspections and taking action on any defects
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the site
• Adhering to all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
• Ensuring the plant meets all safety and operational requirements

This site operates on a 24/5 production schedule, so flexibility is essential. Overtime is available to support production needs.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone who is proactive, safety-conscious, and ready to get stuck in. Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience in Asphalt, Readymix, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Strong IT skills - essential for operating our systems
• Previous experience with mobile plant operations - highly desirable
• A valid Shovel License - a big plus
• Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn - training will be provided for the right candidate
