Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Support Officer to provide flexible security cover across multiple client locations. You will monitor site activity, conduct patrols, log events, and respond to incidents while ensuring health & safety compliance and professional service delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a valid SIA licence, UK right to work, and a driving licence. You will operate CCTV and access control systems and adapt to varying site environments with a proactive, customer‑facing

Qualifications

Right to Work in the UK required.
Must pass BS7858 vetting.
Valid SIA Licence is required.
UK Driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
Good computer literacy and ability to operate security systems.

Responsibilities

Provide professional security cover across multiple client sites and maintain high service standards.
Conduct regular site patrols and inspections per instructions and site procedures.
Monitor premises visually and via CCTV; respond to alarms and incidents.
Maintain accurate logs, vehicle movements, visitor access and attendance records.
Ensure access control procedures follow site requirements and security protocols.
Deliver flexible support across locations and cover staffing shortfalls to maintain service continuity.
