Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Relief Officer to manage security across a group of court and tribunal sites in and around Lincoln. The role requires patrolling, access control, CCTV operation, and search procedures while delivering a high level of customer service.

The ideal candidate holds an SIA licence, is DBS/BS7858 cleared, and can travel between sites with a valid UK driving licence. A strong communicator with professional demeanor is essential for this diverse, daytime role.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance
• SIA Licence is required for security roles
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle are advantageous
• Excellent communication and customer service skills essential
• Able to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing priorities
• Knowledge of security procedures and health & safety practices desired

Responsibilities

• Flexibility to support multiple sites within a defined area
• Provide a professional, welcoming and customer-focused service to all court users
• Control access to buildings, ensuring security procedures are followed at all times
• Operate security equipment including CCTV, x-ray machines and handheld metal detectors
• Conduct searches in line with site procedures
• Patrol public and restricted areas, maintaining regular communication with control points
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and security concerns
• Record and report all incidents and activities accurately
• Support safe and secure movement of people within the building
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance at all times
