Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Support Officer to provide flexible security cover across multiple client locations. You will monitor site activity, patrol, log records, and respond to incidents while maintaining high standards and professional conduct.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, UK driving license, and the ability to work across sites with flexible shifts. You will support operational continuity and deliver excellent customer service within a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and ability to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Valid SIA Licence.
• UK Driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security cover across multiple client sites, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.
• Conduct regular site patrols and inspections in accordance with assignment instructions and site procedures.
• Monitor premises visually and via CCTV, responding to alarms, incidents and security alerts.
• Record vehicle movements, visitor access, contractor attendance, and site activities; maintain logs and reports.
• Ensure access control procedures are followed and log all security events.
• Maintain accurate security records, incident reports and operational documentation.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and management plans at all times.
• Provide flexible support across multiple locations and cover staffing shortfalls.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Present a professional image as an ambassador for OCS and the client.
