Job summary

Talosats Careers is seeking a Multisite Registered Manager to establish a new three-home provision in Lanchester, County Durham, with a single Ofsted registration. You’ll lead the service from ground up, ensuring safety, stability, and exceptional care across the homes.

You will manage staffing, safeguarding, budgeting, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with the RI and Director to shape strategy and deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working with children in residential care, including 2+ years in a management role.
• Experience in LD or EDB settings.
• Proven track record of achieving at least a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating as a Registered Manager or senior leader.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the service from the ground up, registering with Ofsted and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Lead day-to-day operations: staffing, recruitment, training, safeguarding, budgeting, health & safety, and quality assurance.
• Report to and collaborate with the Responsible Individual and Director, providing strong management oversight.
• Create a positive team culture with coaching, supervision, and development to deliver outstanding care.
• Champion trauma-informed, PACE-based practice, overseeing admissions, care planning, transitions, education, wellbeing, and independence.
• Maintain accurate records and care plans using ClearCare; build multi-agency relationships and drive continuous improvement; participate in on-call rota.
