Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is seeking a Facilities / Maintenance Operative in Kettering to support the safe, efficient operation of a multi-site environment. The role offers a full-time contract with a 37.5-hour week and an on-call allowance.

Key duties include caretaking, basic DIY tasks, plumbing, painting, log maintenance, site security, vehicle checks, alarm response, and Health & Safety inspections. A full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake first aid training are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of caretaking and facilities duties, including basic DIY, plumbing, painting and decorating.
• Operate a forklift truck (training may be provided where required).
• Complete maintenance and inspection logs.
• Open and close the site, ensuring security procedures are followed.
• Carry out vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Respond to intruder and fire alarm call-outs as part of the key holder rota.
• Perform routine Health & Safety inspections.
• Assist with moving equipment and materials, including some heavy lifting.
• Provide hospitality and event support when required.
