Jobs.co.uk is seeking a Facilities / Maintenance Operative in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours weekly on a rotating shift and a salary of £25,000 plus an on-call allowance.

Duties span caretaking, basic DIY, plumbing, painting, and forklift operation, with training provided. Applicants should have practical trade skills, reliability and the ability to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking and facilities duties.
• Willingness to learn basic DIY, plumbing, painting and decorating.

Responsibilities

• Carry out caretaking and facilities duties including basic DIY, plumbing, painting and decorating.
• Operate a forklift truck (training may be provided).
• Complete maintenance and inspection logs.
• Open and close the site and follow security procedures.
• Carry out vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Respond to intruder and fire alarm call-outs as part of the rota.
• Perform routine Health & Safety inspections.
• Assist with moving equipment and materials, including some heavy lifting.
• Provide hospitality and event support when required.
