As a SymbolsMultiple Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and fostering strong partnerships within the Symbols trade sector. This position requires a dynamic and customer-focused professional who can manage multiple and group accounts, understand client needs, and execute strategic initiatives to achieve sales objectives.

This role requires the individual to work with the Symbols Channel Manager and the Symbols Key Account Executives to identify opportunities and develop effective ways of working with the multiple group symbol accounts and respective account buyers to enable both organised and BAT Field Force execution and implementation strategies. The role will also require you to provide support to both the Symbols Key Account Executives on the Spar accounts.

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Symbols trade clients, understanding their business goals and challenges.Serve as the primary point of contact, addressing client inquiries, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.Effectively manage the assigned accounts, tracking key account budgets, forecasts and actuals to ensure optimal use of financial resource allocated for the Symbol Channel. Ensure timely reporting in collaboration with Finance on a Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly reporting cycle.Hold account performance reviews & continuously review account contact strategy and re-align as appropriate to deliver objectives and maximize business effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the Symbols trade channel.Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding product/service offerings.Achievement of agreed Availability, Visibility, Dialogue, Activation, Market Share & Volume objectives, for the assigned accounts.
  • Client Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' requirements and tailor solutions to meet both account and BAT specific needs within the Symbols trade sector.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with the assigned accounts, ensuring terms are favorable for both the client and the company.Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contractual agreements.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities within the Symbols trade sector.Utilize market insights to adapt sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales support, marketing, and product development, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into performance and contributing to overall business planning.Within those reports, identify the opportunities and challenges

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • Previous experience in Account or Category Management
  • A full driving license.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Ability to work in a challenging commercial environment dominated by an ever-decreasing account base in which they must balance the demands of these accounts with the commercial aims & objectives of our own business.
  • Will be expected to Live the Company Vision & strategy.
  • Establish ambitious targets for self and others, as well as customers.
  • Have good knowledge of Brand / Trade Marketing, & build knowledge of their customers Strategy, Structure, KPIs and potential
  • Have high communication and negotiation skills, with capabilities to develop new solutions to react to market conditions.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of consumer behavior, and a strong understanding of UK Retail landscape and their role within the marketplace.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of the retail channel and the accounts roles within the wider marketplace.
