Job summary

Streamline Services Consultancy Limited is seeking a Sales Executive to join its commercial team in Tilbury. The role focuses on developing new business in multimodal import freight forwarding, building long-term customer relationships, and acting as the bridge between acquiring new business and delivering a seamless service.

You will combine office-based activity with client meetings in the field, leveraging an existing network where possible.

Qualifications

• Proven background in freight sales and business development.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of sea, air and road freight, particularly imports.
• Established customer network or transferable relationships would be a major advantage

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector
• Generate new customers through your own prospecting and leads provided by the wider business
• Develop business across FCL, LCL, airfreight and road freight
• Target both import and export opportunities, with a particular emphasis on imports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Work closely with the BDM and customer service teams to ensure a seamless handover of new business
• Prepare competitive and accurate freight quotations
• Ensure quotations include all appropriate terms, conditions and relevant charges
• Attend customer meetings and develop relationships through face-to-face contact
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and expand existing customer accounts
• Keep up to date with developments and trends within the international freight market
