Shuel Construction Ltd is seeking skilled multi traders for social housing projects across London and beyond. This self-employed role covers occupied and void properties with a range of trades and high workmanship standards.

You will work autonomously, manage your own time, and liaise with residents and site supervisors to ensure on-time delivery. We offer consistent, regular work within the social housing sector, competitive rates, and a straightforward pay model with on-time payments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a multi trader across a range of trades.
• Own transport is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage time on site.
• High standard of workmanship with attention to detail.
• Self-employed / subcontractor status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, including full installations.
• Plumbing works — repairs, replacements, isolations, and installations.
• Carpentry — doors, frames, skirting, kitchens and joinery.
• Tiling — walls and floors to a clean finish.
• Plastering — patching and skim works.
• Painting and decorating.
• General building and disrepair works as required.
• Complete work to specification, on time and to expected quality.

About Us

Shuel Construction Ltd is a social housing maintenance contractor working with housing associations and local councils across London and beyond. We deliver kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, disrepair works, and general building maintenance to a high standard on behalf of some of the country's leading social landlords. We're growing and looking for skilled, reliable multi traders to join our network on a self-employed basis.

The Role

We're looking for experienced Multi Traders to carry out maintenance and disrepair works across social housing properties in the Hackney area. You'll be working on occupied and void properties, completing a range of trades to a high standard with minimal supervision.

This is a self-employed / subcontracting opportunity with consistent, ongoing work available.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, including full installations
• Plumbing works — repairs, replacements, isolation, and installations
• Carpentry — doors, frames, skirting, kitchens, and general joinery
• Tiling — walls and floors to a clean, professional finish
• Plastering — patching and full skim works
• Painting and decorating
• General building and disrepair works as required
• Complete work to specification, on time, and to the required quality standard
• Liaise professionally with residents and site supervisors

• Good communication skills — you'll be working in occupied homes
• CSCS card — preferred
• Self-employed / able to operate as a subcontractor
