Job summary

Gold Group in Brighton is seeking a Multi-Trade Technician (Mobile Capacity) to join a large Facilities Management team. The role covers plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating and installation of furniture, with a focus on safe, high-quality repairs across commercial facilities.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, manage stock and records, and work in fast-paced environments. A strong communicator with IOSH Safely and practical hands-on skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced facility maintenance professional with FM environment experience.
• Confident communicator across all levels, with strong team focus and leadership potential.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification and solid PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out allocated PPM and reactive maintenance tasks safely and on schedule (fire doors, water hygiene L8, emergency lighting checks).
• Perform general building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and installation of furniture/equipment.
• Maintain clean and tidy common areas, plant rooms and storerooms; undertake landscaping duties as required.
• Monitor stock levels, manage ordering processes, attend reactive calls and keep maintenance records up to date.

Brief

Multi-Trade Technician needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Brighton who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Multi-Trade Technician that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and installation of furniture/equipment.

The successful candidate would a keen interest in Multi-Trade Engineering. If you have commercial experience in a Facilities Management setting that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
