Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Multi-trade Technician to join the Brighton (Mobile) team on a full-time basis. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, decoration, and general repairs, while ensuring safety and high standards.

In this field-based role, a valid IOSH Managing Safely certificate and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance within FM environments.
• Able to work in fast-paced, high-profile settings.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks safely and on schedule, including fire door, water hygiene (L8), and emergency lighting checks.
• Perform general building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and installation of furniture/equipment.
• Maintain clean and tidy common areas, plant rooms, storerooms and undertake landscaping duties as required.
• Monitor stock levels, manage ordering processes, attend reactive calls, and keep maintenance records up to date.
