Job summary

Chime Housing is seeking a hands-on Multi-Skilled Operative in Watford to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance. You must specialise in one core trade (Plumbing, Carpentry or Plastering) and be proficient in a second trade, with capability in two more trades such as Bricklaying or Painting and Groundwork/Fencing.

An out-of-hours rota is required. Role offers a varied workload, company van with fuel card, and a supportive team in Repairs and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• You will be able to fault find and accurately diagnose the repairs needed; decide the most efficient and effective value for money and arrange materials where needed.
• You will have a City and Guilds in a relevant skill or equivalent.
• You must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow the processes required for safe working in customers' homes and public areas.

Salary: £42,206 - 40 hours per week

Introduction to the role

To be considered, you must specialise in one core trade Plumbing, Carpentry or Plastering and be highly competent in a second trade from the list. In addition, you should be able to undertake at least two further trades to a good standard, bringing flexibility, skill and problemsolving to every task. These trades include Bricklaying, Painting & Decorating and Groundwork/ Fencing.

• You will have a City and Guilds in a relevant skill or equivalent.
• You must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• You must be competent in using an electronic personal digital assistant device to receive and record work.
• Hold a full clean driving licence.
• Willingness to maintain a satisfactory basic DBS check
