Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative / Handyman to support ongoing building and refurbishment works at Gatwick Airport. The role starts ASAP under a CIS pay arrangement and runs for an initial two weeks, with potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

Ideal applicants will hold a valid CSCS card, have hands-on experience with brick/blockwork and general repairs, own basic tools, and work confidently in a live airport environment while maintaining safety and site

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card and relevant site experience.
• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Operative, Handyman or Multi-Trader.
• Competent with basic brick and blockwork and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• General building and maintenance works on site.
• Minor brick and blockwork, including reducing door openings.
• Floor repairs and making good, and installing/fixing fencing.
• Removing fire-stopping materials and minor demolition tasks.
• Keeping area clean, safe, and compliant with airport site rules.

Multi-Skilled Operative / Handyman

We are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative / Handyman to support ongoing building and refurbishment works at Gatwick Airport.

Location: Gatwick Airport

Duration: Initially 2 weeks, with ongoing work expected

Pay: £22.00 £23ph CIS Start: ASAP

The initial requirement is approximately two weeks; however, further works are expected, offering the potential for ongoing assignments for the right person.

Duties will include:

• General building and maintenance works
• Minor brick and blockwork, including reducing existing door openings
• Floor repairs and making good
• Installing and relocating Heras fencing
• Removing existing fire-stopping materials as instructed
• Minor demolition and strip-out works
• Making good following works
• Assisting with general refurbishment and building works
• Moving materials and maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Working safely within a live airport environment
• Other general building duties as required

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card
• Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Operative, Handyman or Multi-Trader
• Competent with basic brick/blockwork
• Experience with general building repairs and making good
• Own basic hand tools
• Good understanding of site health & safety
• Reliable and able to work independentlyPrevious airport experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
• Able to pass 5 year employment history and criminal record checks
