Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Leeds is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our repairs team, covering plumbing, carpentry, plaster patching in tenanted properties. The role is mainly lone working with a company van and tools; travels around West Yorkshire.

You will resolve faults, maintain tools, keep customers informed, and work to health and safety standards. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am–4:30pm, salary £35,579–£37,452 per year, with 25 days leave rising to 30 and a generous

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry or electrical) or actively undertaking it.
• Experience across plumbing, plastering, carpentry and joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Attend occupied or void properties to perform construction, fault fixing and maintenance.
• Resolve problems or initiate resolution while keeping customers informed.
• Maintain tools and equipment properly and manage van stock and restocks.
• Provide accurate progress updates in clear, customer-friendly language.
• Respond to service issues to meet customer expectations per contract.

Multi Trade Operative

Leeds

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

We are looking for a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our team of operatives with a mix of skills and qualifications working on repairs in tenanted properties. Within the roles you will be covering all aspects of general building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, and plaster patching. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover areas in and around West Yorkshire.

The role ofMulti Trade Operativewill include:

• Attending occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition, maintaining a suitable van stock level, and restocking these when needed in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Skills in some of the following disciplines – Plumbing, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting
• Basic ground working skills including basic fencing and paving
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
