Job summary

MMP Consultancy is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative for works across Merton, Sutton and Croydon. You will deliver a range of trades within occupied social housing properties, maintaining high standards while minimizing tenant disruption.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£24.54) with a company van and fuel card, plus ongoing work with a reputable contractor. You will operate Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with potential out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing or similar environments.
• Strong all-round skills across multiple trades.
• Ability to work in occupied properties with a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Must supply own basic hand and power tools.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of multi-trade works, including carpentry, plumbing, basic plastering, tiling and decorating.
• Undertake reactive repairs and general maintenance within social housing properties.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently across multiple trades.
• Complete works relating to damp, mould, and general property repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to tenants.
• Work independently to manage a daily workload (up to 7 jobs per day).

An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Multi Trade Operatives to join a reputable Social Housing Contractor working across Merton, Sutton, Croydon, and surrounding areas. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £24.54, along with a company van and fuel card, working within occupied residential properties delivering high-quality reactive repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of multi-trade works, including:
• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Basic plastering, tiling, and decorating
• Undertake reactive repairs and general maintenance within social housing properties
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently across multiple trades
• Complete works relating to damp, mould, and general property repairs
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to tenants
• Work independently to manage a daily workload (up to 7 jobs per day)

Working Hours

08:00 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday)

Optional out-of-hours work may be available
