Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to cover the Peterborough area. Join a reactive repairs team with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and delivering reliable outcomes for residents.

You will work across joinery, plumbing, tiling and related trades in occupied properties, applying fault-finding skills to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade or equivalent is required or desirable.
• Experience in domestic or social housing is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Health & safety comes first in all tasks and site work.
• Carry out multi-trade duties within occupied properties across joinery, plumbing, tiling and related tasks.
• Apply fault finding and problem-solving to resolve issues in domestic settings.

• Competitive basic salary of £35,530 for a 39 hour working week

The Multi Trade Operative Role

• Multi trade work - Complete works within occupied properties, including joinery, plumbing, tiling and more
• Problem solving - Apply fault finding skills in domestic settings to resolve issues effectively.

What You Will Bring As a Multi Trade Operative

You will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade, ideally with experience in domestic or social housing environments, desirable, but not essential.

With a genuine passion for improving people’s homes, you bring strong customer service skills and enjoy working with others. A full UK driving licence is required.
