Job summary

Platinum Search Recruitment Limited are partnering with a reputable building contractor to recruit a Building Fabric Engineer for roles in Hounslow, Slough, Uxbridge, Windsor, Harrow and Central London.

You will carry out reactive fabric maintenance across commercial and industrial sites, including carpentry, joinery, plumbing, painting and general repairs, responding to call-outs with a focus on safety and quality. A valid UK driving licence is required as a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building fabric maintenance, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Hands-on trades with a broad skillset across carpentry, plumbing, plastering and painting.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities with good communication.

Responsibilities

• General fabric maintenance, repairs and small works on site.

Platinum Search Recrutiment are working alongside a highly experienced and reputable building contractor currently recruiting for a Building Fabric Engineer located in any of the following areas: Hounslow, Slough, Uxbridge, Windsor & Harrow.

Our client provide services within a broad range of specialised services across a range of commercial and industrial sites.

Are you a skilled Fabric Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and keeping buildings running smoothly? We're looking for a proactive and reliable candidate to join our clients growing team and be responsible for carrying out reactive building fabric maintenance works. You'll respond to call-outs and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Locations covering: Hounslow, Slough, Uxbridge, Windsor, Harrow & Central London

Typical Building Fabric Engineer duties include:

• General fabric maintenance, repairs, and small works
• Carpentry, joinery, and door repairs
• General plumbing and patch plastering
• Painting, decorating, and finishing
• Reactive response to urgent breakdowns and building issues

Fabric Engineer requirements:

• Proven experience in building fabric maintenance (commercial environment preferred)
• Strong all-round trade skills with a hands-on approach
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work occasional out-of-hours.
