Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd. is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to perform responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing in Harrow.

The role covers a range of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and making good, with a focus on high-quality repairs and customer service. You will manage jobs from start to finish, diagnose faults, record works, and participate in an out-of-hours rota when needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out domestic repairs across multiple trades.
• Strong skills in at least two trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, plastering).
• Experience in social housing or domestic maintenance desirable.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workload.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties.
• Completing a range of multi-trade works, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and making good.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Managing jobs independently from start to finish.
• Providing excellent customer service while working in residents' homes.
• Accurately recording works completed.
• Identifying and reporting any additional works or property issues.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Participating in an out-of-hours emergency repair rota where required.

Salary: £24.73 per hour Umbrella
Permanent: £42,000 per annum

A Multi Trade Operative is required to work on a busy social housing repairs and maintenance contract in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled tradesperson looking for a temporary-to-permanent position.

Requirements of a Multi Trade Operative

• Previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience is highly desirable
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload effectively
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working within occupied properties
• Own hand tools
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota
