Job summary

Pertemps London is recruiting a Multi Trade Operative for a 1-month temporary assignment in London, supporting student accommodation buildings. The role involves responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and a variety of trades across occupied properties.

The position requires experience in maintenance environments, NVQ Level 2 in Electrical or Plumbing, and strong health and safety awareness. 37.5 hours weekly with a start date of 24th August.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative or in similar maintenance roles.
• Practical experience in construction, maintenance or facilities management.
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical or Plumbing.
• Additional trade qualifications (plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, etc.) advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
• Competent in safe use of tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across student accommodation properties.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
• Diagnose and rectify building defects and maintenance issues.
• Complete electrical and general multi-trade maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety legislation.
• Conduct dynamic risk assessments before undertaking work.
• Maintain accurate records through digital job management systems.
• Identify and report additional maintenance requirements.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times.
• Ensure properties remain safe, secure, warm and fully operational for residents.

37.5 Hours per Week, 5 days between Monday to Sunday
