Job summary

BCHA are seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team, primarily across Dorset. You will operate across planned and reactive maintenance with a trades background in bathroom/kitchen fitting, plastering, tiling and painting.

Travel within the role is required; a full driving licence and the ability to drive a company van are essential. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with a provided van, smartphone, uniform and PPE, plus training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trades background required.
• Experience in the housing sector preferred.
• Strong customer service on-site is important.

Responsibilities

• Work across planned and reactive maintenance across Dorset.
• Carry out multi-trade tasks (bathroom/kitchen fitting, plastering, tiling, painting).

Job description

BCHA are seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team working predominantly across Dorset.

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within the Housing sector.

As a multi-trade operative you will have a trades background, ideally with skills and experience in bathroom fitting, kitchen fitting, plastering, tiling and painting and be required to work across a mix of planned and reactive maintenance.

There is a strong emphasis on customer service in these roles, as the customer is often present on site.

Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence that is acceptable to our insurers and have the ability to drive a company van.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week. A van, smartphone, uniform and PPE will be provided.
