Our Building Services team is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Technician to join our team on-site at a hospital project in London.

The role involves undertaking planned preventative maintenance, testing, repairs, and new installations across various equipment, services, systems, and buildings associated with hospital operations. The post holder will perform CP duties as trained, qualified, or appointed.

You will:
  1. Support the Estates Management in providing a 24-hour maintenance service within the LRH.
  2. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety legislation, HTMs, and HBNs.
  3. Maintain hospital equipment, plant, services, and systems, including electrical and mechanical equipment testing.
  4. Work safely on mechanical systems, including boiler & pressure systems, medical gas, and confined spaces, as a Competent Person.
  5. Maintain mechanical systems such as HVAC, washroom services, sterilizers, and other mechanical equipment.
  6. Participate in planned maintenance schemes, completing reports and test certificates.
  7. Act as Responsible Competent Person for electrical and mechanical system work and isolation.
  8. Specify, source, and order materials and equipment as needed.
  9. Hold relevant qualifications such as BTEC/HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent, and certifications like 17th Edition IEE Regulations.
  10. Have experience in building maintenance, hospital environments, and specialist hospital equipment.
  11. Possess problem-solving skills for technical issues and fault diagnosis.
  12. Supervise maintenance staff and subcontractors, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude.
