Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Multi Skilled Shift Electrical Engineer to deliver a safe, compliant electrical maintenance service on a busy government site in Swansea. You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include fault finding across LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, power systems and controls; updating CAFM with notes and status; and supporting health and safety procedures and inspections.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification.
• Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance in commercial/public sector.
• Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship.
• Experience working with CAFM systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) per SFG20 and contract.
• Complete reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across lighting, LV, and power.
• Ensure electrical systems are safe, compliant, and operational.
• Support statutory inspections and health & safety procedures.
• Update CAFM with notes, evidence, and status; highlight risks and recurring issues.

We're looking for an Multi Skilled Shift Electrical Engineer who can deliver a safe, compliant, and efficient electrical maintenance service across a busy operational government site, ensuring minimal disruption to critical operations and full compliance with statutory requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Complete reactive maintenance tasks, fault finding, and repairs across LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, power systems, and controls.
• Ensure all electrical systems are maintained in a safe, compliant, and fully operational condition.
• Support statutory inspections and work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures, permits, and safe systems of work.
• Update CAFM systems with detailed job notes, completion evidence, and status updates whilst highlighting risks, non-compliance, and recurring issues.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
