Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Multi Skilled Shift Electrical Engineer for a busy government site in Swansea. You will deliver safe, compliant electrical maintenance and ensure minimal disruption to critical operations on a 4 on 4 off days/nights shift pattern.

The role involves conducting PPMs to SFG20 standards, fault finding across LV distribution, emergency lighting and control systems, and contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance within a commercial or public sector environment.
• Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship.
• Experience working with CAFM systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Complete reactive maintenance tasks, fault finding, and repairs across LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, power systems, and controls.
• Ensure all electrical systems are maintained in a safe, compliant, and fully operational condition.
• Support statutory inspections and work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures, permits, and safe systems of work.
• Update CAFM systems with detailed job notes, completion evidence, and status updates whilst highlighting risks, non-compliance, and recurring issues.
