Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative in Tonbridge to join a busy responsive repairs contract. You will carry out maintenance across plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, and decorating in social housing properties.

The role requires proven multi-trade experience, a Full UK driving licence, and a commitment to health and safety. DBS clearance is required. Hours are 42.5 per week, with a temp-to-perm path and a £23.54/hour rate.

Qualifications

• Experience across multiple trades including plumbing and carpentry.
• Full UK driving licence (over 21, held 3+ months).
• DBS clearance and health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs in occupied and void social housing properties.
• Repair or replace skirting boards, doors, handles, locks, and hinges.
• Install and adjust kitchen units and worktops.
• Patch plastering, wall/floor tiling, painting and decorating.
• Identify and fix minor plumbing issues (leaks, dripping taps).
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle.
• Accurately record work using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Deliver excellent customer service while respecting residents' homes.

Role Overview

We're looking for a skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to join a busy responsive repairs contract. • Proven experience across multiple trades
• Full UK driving licence (over 21, held for 3+ months, Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• DBS/security check clearance required
