Job summary

The Guinness Partnership in Milton Keynes is seeking a reliable Multi Skilled Plumber to join our fixed- site maintenance team. You will carry out responsive repairs and general multi-skilled tasks for our residents, working a 40-hour week from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

You will also participate in an out-of-hours rota with additional payment. A full UK driving licence and basic DBS check are required; residence near Milton Keynes is expected to ensure

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent trade qualification required.
• Experience in customer-focused social housing repairs preferred.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

About The Role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Plumber to join our Milton Keynes team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am – 7pm Monday – Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment.

To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Milton Keynes area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic joinery, tiling, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
