Job summary

GREAT PLACES HOUSING ASSOCIATION is seeking a skilled plumber to deliver high-quality repairs across domestic properties. You will attend training, communicate with customers and teams, and use mobile tools to manage job records while ensuring safety and cleanliness on completion.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence and NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional conduct within (social housing) communities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality plumbing repairs across domestic properties (bathrooms, sinks, taps, drainage).
  • Complete work to high standards of quality, productivity and safety.
  • Attend training, toolbox talks and E-learning modules.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and local stakeholders.
  • Carry out work safely and leave homes clean and secure.
  • Use PDA/mobile tech to receive and update repair jobs and manage notes.

Job description

  • Deliver a high-quality plumbing repairs service across domestic properties, including bathrooms, sinks, taps and drainage systems
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality, productivity and safety
  • Attending and completing all required training, toolbox talks, and E-learning modules
  • Communicating professionally and empathetically with customers, colleagues, and local stakeholders
  • Carrying out work safely and professionally, ensuring customers' homes are left clean and secure
  • Using PDA/mobile technology to receive, update, and manage repair jobs efficiently
  • Producing accurate records, including before-and-after photographs and detailed job notes
  • Key essentials: Full UK manual driving licence, NVQ level 2 in plumbing or equivalent, NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • A customer-focused approach with pride in delivering high-quality work
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support colleagues
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to safe working practices
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and teams

For the purposes of our van fleet insurance, you must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence, be over the age of 21 and complete an on-line driver monitoring Assessment prior to starting your role. If you are under 21 but with 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence you would be required to complete an on-line driver monitoring assessment and additional in vehicle assessment prior to starting your role funded by Great Places.
