Job summary

Raby Estates seeks an experienced Painter & Decorator (Multi Skilled) to join the Estate Maintenance Team at the historic Staindrop site. You will work on domestic, commercial and heritage properties, delivering high-quality finishes with attention to detail and safety conscious practices.

The role requires at least 5 years’ painting and decorating experience, NVQ or equivalent in building, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in painting and decorating on domestic and commercial properties.
NVQ qualification or equivalent in the building sector.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong awareness of health and safety and ability to lead by example.
High attention to detail with pride in producing quality work.
Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Undertake internal and external painting and decorating works across domestic, commercial and heritage buildings.
Prepare surfaces using traditional and modern methods to achieve high-quality finishes.
Carry out filling, sanding, preparation and finishing works to a consistently high standard.
Apply paints, stains, varnishes and specialist coatings as required.
Diagnose decorating defects and carry out or recommend remedial works.
