Job summary

HR GO Group in Newmarket is hiring Multi Skilled Operatives for a permanent role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The shift is Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00, 40 hours per week, in a chilled production area.

You will perform pre-start inspections, manage stock, book in deliveries, maintain documentation, and ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene. PPE is provided, and there is a path to an in-house FLT license.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment.
• Able to stand for the duration of shift.
• Willing to work in a chilled environment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-start inspections.
• Ensure stock levels and availability for operations.
• Book in deliveries and update records.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
• Sort waste into skips or compactors.
• Ensure PPE is available and in good supply.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
• Carry out routine cleaning and sanitising tasks as required.
• Monitor product quality and report issues promptly.
• Assist with stock handling, weighing and inventory tasks.

Multi Skilled Operatives

We are seeking reliable, motivated multi skilled operatives, to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment on a permanent basis.

The role involves pre-start inspections, ensuring sufficient levels of stock are available, booking in deliveries and ensuring tasks are documented. You will be working within a chilled environment, whilst maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards.

There is a distinct food aroma throughout the production area. You will be required to stand for the duration of your shift. All PPE is supplied.

There will be an opportunity to progress and to gain an in-house FLT license in time.

Due to the location, you must have your own transport.

Monday - Friday 14:00 - 22:00 (40 hour week)

Salary £29,764 plus an annual bonus

Key responsibilities:

• - Working within a warehouse environment- loading trailers with finished products.
• - Booking in goods within the packing area
• - Ensure all paperwork is filled in accurately and in a timely manner.
• - Sort waste bags into waste skip or compactors
• - Ensure sufficient levels of PPE are available
• - Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and housekeeping at all times
• - Carry out routine cleaning and sanitising tasks as required
• - Monitor product quality and report any issues or defects immediately
• - Assist with stock handling, weighing and basic inventory tasks
• -Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
