HR GO Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Production Operative for our busy food manufacturing site in Newmarket, Suffolk. The role is permanent, pays around £28,724.80 per annum and requires hands-on work on production lines, quality checks and a commitment to food safety and team collaboration.

You will operate machinery, perform packing, assist with line changes, and support a positive, efficient shift pattern including mornings, nights and weekends as needed.

Job title: Multi Skilled Production Operative

We are recruiting reliable, motivated Multi Skilled Production Operatives to join a busy food manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with experience in food manufacturing who enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.

Key responsibilities

- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

- Carry out packing, labelling and product handling to meet production targets

- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards

- Maintain high standards of hygiene and follow all food safety procedures (HACCP, GMP)

- Assist with cleaning, line changeovers and basic equipment maintenance

- Record production data accurately and communicate issues to supervisors

- Work cooperatively with colleagues and other departments to meet daily targets

Required skills and attributes

- Previous experience in food manufacturing or a related production environment

- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality

- Good communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude

- Ability to work on your feet for long periods and lift moderate weights when required

- Willingness to work shifts including early mornings, nights and weekends as needed

Desirable

- Basic understanding of HACCP/GMP principles

- Experience operating production machinery or packaging equipment

- Forklift or food industry certifications (not essential; training can be provided)
