Job summary

Cornwall Staff Agency Limited is recruiting a multi-skilled operative for a British manufacturer. You'll join an established production team working across assembly, plasma and machining.

The role requires experience in manufacturing, reading engineering drawings and using hand tools, with a strong focus on safety, quality and meeting daily production targets. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Job description

Our client a British manufacturer of agricultural machinery is seeking a full time multi skilled operative to join their established team.

Multi-Skilled Operatives to support our Production areas, including Assembly, Plasma & Machining.

What we offer:

• £14.15 per hour
• Monday - Thursday - 06:30 - 16.45.

The role:

• Experience of working in a Manufacturing production environment
• Using a variety of hand tools and associated equipment
• Operating CNC Plasma machines to produce components for productions
• Operating machine tools to produce components
• Following operational guidelines and technical drawings to assemble parts and components
• Complete other operational work including fettling and grinding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Committed to safety, quality, and productivity.
• The ability to hit deadlines and achieve daily production schedules.
• Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment, and be physically able to cope with typical factory duties including manual handling loads.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment
• Assist with other duties as and when required
