Job summary

Daval Associates are recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Operative to join a busy waste management operation in Widnes, WA8. £14.40 per hour, Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm, with a starter bonus of £250 after 8 weeks.

This hands-on role requires experience operating a Loading Shovel and a 360 Excavator with rehandler, plus a background in waste or recycling. You will support site operations and uphold health and safety standards on site.

Daval Associates are currently recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Operative to join a busy waste management operation based in Widnes, WA8.

This is a hands‑on role suited to an experienced plant operator with a background in mobile plant and site operations, ideally within the waste or recycling sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Loading Shovel
• Operating a 360 Excavator with rehandler attachment
• Loading, moving and processing waste materials safely and efficiently
• Supporting general site operations as required
• Carrying out basic machine checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping on site

Requirements

• Proven experience operating a Loading Shovel
• Proven experience operating a 360 Excavator with rehandler attachment
• Previous waste or recycling experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow site procedures
• Reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude

Pay & Hours

• £14.40 per hour
• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Overtime over 45 hours: 1.25x
• Saturday: 1.5x
• Sunday: 2x

New Starter Bonus
