Overview

Minimum 48 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. Join a well‑renowned security client in Kent as a Multi‑Skilled Operative. The role reports directly to the Plant Supervisor and involves driving mobile plant operations, delivering the site plan, and ensuring stocks are maintained and replenished.

Role

As a Multi‑Skilled Operative you will carry out a wide variety of tasks on customer sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to our clients’ high professional standard.

Responsibilities
  • Installation & Maintenance: Install steel security solutions on vacant properties, erect and dismantle hoarding, fencing and barriers, and install temporary intruder alarm and CCTV systems.
  • Property Clearance & Cleaning: Clear and clean vacant or damaged properties to agreed specifications, safely remove and dispose of waste (including biohazardous materials) in line with H&S procedures, and carry out garden clearance, vegetation removal and cutbacks.
  • Site Operations & Safety: Follow risk assessments and method statements, maintain excellent housekeeping standards on site, inspect and report defects in vehicles, tools and equipment, wear correct PPE and promote safe working practices.
  • Customer Service & Teamwork: Liaise professionally with clients on site, support colleagues and attend team briefings, promote customer satisfaction at every stage.
What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Clean UK driving licence (minimum 5 years’ experience)
  • Competent in the use of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Strong background in vacant property services, including clearance and cleaning
  • Ability to use computers and handheld devices

Desirable

  • Experience handling or disposing of biohazardous materials (or willingness to train)
  • CSCS Card / CITB HS&E Test
  • Abrasive Wheel, MEWPs or First Aid certification
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt on-site
Additional Information
  • Salary: £58,000 + OTE £60,000, with overtime, signing bonus (£1,500) and generous company benefits.
  • Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour day and night shifts (06:00‑18:00 & 18:00‑06:00).
  • Accommodation and food budget may be provided for overnight stays.
  • Location: Shepton Mallet, Somerset (also roles in Liverpool, Enfield and other UK sites).
  • Contract: Permanent full‑time.
