Job summary

Home Group is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Trades Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team. You will perform high-quality, right-first-time maintenance across our properties, with a focus on multi-skilling across trades to improve first-time fixes and reduce follow-up visits.

You will deliver compliant work on a scheduled patch spanning from Luton to Colchester, and benefit from company-provided van and market-rate rewards.

Qualifications

• Relevant building/construction qualification.
• Experience across multiple building trades including joinery, carpentry, plastering, tiling, brickwork, groundwork or basic plumbing.
• Flexible approach and the ability to use your own initiative.

What you'll do

• As multi skilled Operative, all allocated jobs are completed right first time, with a whole job repair approach, providing a brilliant service for our customers.
• Multi skilling across various trades to improve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers' homes. This includes repairs, maintenance and property refurbishments.
• Delivering high-quality and compliant work.
• All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.

You have

• Relevant building/construction qualification.
• Experienced of working across multiple building trades such as joinery, carpentry, plastering, tiling, brickwork, groundwork or basic plumbing.
• A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.
• A full current driving licence, as you will be provided with a company van for business use and commuting to covering Luton and Colchester

The practical bits

• Working Monday to Friday, you'll also be asked to take part in our out of hours service on a rota basis with colleagues with an additional generous on call payment. This role covers a patch stretching from Luton and Colchester.
• You must be able to use technology for logging jobs, complete online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.
• You'll need a Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.
