Job summary

Inspired Villages is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative to join their team, responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks across their retirement villages. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, strong skills in painting and decorating, and a broad skill set in property maintenance.

Inspired Works will deliver high-quality property maintenance services to ensure our villages, including apartments and cottages, are beautifully maintained for our residents.

With a clear vision to transform the later-life experience in the UK, we are expanding our portfolio to 34 retirement villages, comprising around 5,000 age-appropriate homes for retirees.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you will:

• Assist with a range of maintenance tasks across the Inspired Villages portfolio to preserve and enhance the estate.

• Improve the visual appeal of both interior and exterior spaces.

• Carry out works within occupied villages, both indoors and outdoors.

• Perform framing, door and window installations, woodwork repairs and replacements, and kitchen installations and repairs.

• Install and maintain plumbing systems.

• Undertake ceramic wall and floor tiling, plaster repairs, and minor decorating tasks.

• Apply paint, varnishes, stains, and other coatings to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring proper application of primers and undercoats.

• Align wallpaper for a seamless, visually pleasing finish.

• Apply protective coatings to guard against moisture, corrosion, and general wear and tear.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Operative with a minimum of 2 years' experience

• Strong painting and decorating skills, with experience in surface preparation, paint application, wallpapering, and finishing techniques

• Proficient in problem-solving and assessing work requirements

• A broad skill set across various trades, with a solid background in property maintenance

• While formal qualifications are beneficial, we value hands-on experience and practical ability most

• Full UK driving licence

The Offer

• Salary: £31,000 to £40,000 per annum
