The role

With state-of-the-art infrastructure and recent investments in VBS and technology, we seek a dedicated individual to support our Operations team at London Gateway.

As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will load and unload HGV vehicles in the yard using advanced lifting equipment ranging from 2.5 to 72 tonnes, work as part of a team, and participate in various projects. You will be trained in operating all equipment and systems; prior experience is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Service vehicles with correct containers promptly.
• Stack shipping containers.
• Shunt containers to and from the terminal efficiently.
• Operate container handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with yard team and controllers for efficiency and accuracy.
• Service reefer and M&R areas.
• Perform general yard duties.
• Maintain health and safety standards.

About you

• Holder of a full UK driving licence.
• Deep understanding of health and safety, committed to safe practices.

Preferred but not required

• Previous forklift experience.
• Experience in the container industry.
