Job summary

Portakabin Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Hayes-based team at the London West Hire And Service Centre. You will contribute to refurbishment and fit-out projects, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role is permanent with a Monday–Thursday 7:45am–4:30pm and Friday 7:45am–3:30pm schedule. The ideal candidate reads SOPs and RAMS, brings practical skills and a willingness to work across semi-skilled activities, and holds a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience gained in operational environments, across a variety of semi-skilled activities.
• Practical skills are acquired through training and supervised application.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials, with experience of using them safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as SOPs, RAMS and Method Statements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment, in line with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and company procedures to complete work safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Carrry out refurbishment and fit-out activities following technical specifications, SOPs, RAMS and company procedures, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Support colleagues by assisting with activities across the team, supporting activities outside own experience where qualified or experienced to do so.
• Contribute to team delivery by working collaboratively and escalating issues promptly where they cannot be resolved.

Role: Multi Skilled Operative
Hourly Rate: : £15.87 per hour + £1.38 per hour London Weighting + opportunity to build a merit rate of up to £4.38 per hour
Role based: Portakabin, Hayes, UB3 1DY (Driving licence required)
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:45am to 4:30pm, on Fridays from 7:45am to 3:30pm
