Job summary

Sulis Hospital Bath is seeking a qualified and experienced plumber or mechanical fitter to join our busy maintenance team. You will work on all elements of building maintenance, both planned and reactive, to ensure site availability for patient treatment is maximised.

The role includes on-call duties to respond to out-of-hours emergencies. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding patient experience within an award-winning facility, with modern amenities and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced plumber or mechanical fitter with maintenance experience.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.
• Good communication and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Respond to emergency out-of-hours calls as part of the on-call rota.
• Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff to minimise downtime.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced plumber / mechanical fitter to work in our busy maintenance team at our expanding Sulis Hospital. You will need to work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure that both planned maintenance and reactive maintenance are carried out efficiently and safely to ensure that site availability for patient treatment is maximised. The job will involve all elements of building maintenance work and would suit a multi-skilled plumber or mechanical fitter. Good communication skills, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision is essential for the successful candidate. The role will also have the requirements to be part of the on-call service for the site to respond to emergency out of hours situations.
