Job summary

All Saints Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare Limited, seeks a Maintenance Lead to head the on-site maintenance team and oversee daily activities, ensuring safe, efficient repairs and compliance across two specialist services.

You will work with the Support Services Manager, drive PPM programmes and keep health & safety standards high while supporting budgeting and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a hospital or similar environment.
• City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Plumbing or Building.
• Strong managerial and communication skills.
• Able to adapt, be practical, conscientious and team focused.
• Knowledge of statutory legislation (fire, electrical, health & safety).
• English language skills - GCSE level D or equivalent numerate GCSE level D.
• DBS disclosure is required.
• Annual base salary of £28,040.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a maintenance team across All Saints Hospital.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, prioritise workloads and review schedules.
• Coordinate on-site contractors and ensure works are completed safely and to standard.

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional with leadership experience and a passion for creating safe, well-maintained environments? Join our team as a Maintenance Lead and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of two specialist healthcare services, making a real difference to the experience of patients, staff and visitors every day. Working closely with the Support Services Manager, you will lead and support a maintenance team across All Saints Hospital, ensuring a high standard of maintenance is delivered. You will oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, prioritise workloads, review work schedules and ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In this varied and rewarding role, you will support the organisation and completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes, ensuring all statutory and compliance requirements are met. You will coordinate contractors on site, providing guidance and local support to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard. You will also identify, prioritise and respond to faults, damage and maintenance issues, ensuring buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. As Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for promoting a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in line with organisational policies, procedures and statutory regulations. You will also support administrative processes, including purchase orders, invoice approval and budget monitoring, while contributing to Health & Safety, Clinical Governance and Senior Management Team meetings as required.

• Previous maintenance experience in a hospital or similar environment
• To have a City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Plumbing or in Building
• To demonstrate good managerial and communication skills

• To troubleshoot and resolve problems at All Saints Hospital, providing care for people who are D/deaf or have complex communication needs. It is a culturally sensitive service which has been created to provide support and rehabilitation with care and intervention from both deaf and hearing members of staff.
• Annual base salary of £28,040
