Job description

Job Summary:

Based at Sensient Colors, Kings Lynn, the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will be responsible for undertaking and supporting various Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance duties around site as part of their daily activities. They will facilitate the manufacture of high-quality products by ensuring the reliability of the plant, equipment, and facilities.

In this role you would receive a competitive £40k minimum annual salary with a generous £120 monthly call-out premium, as well as a standard Monday-Friday 8am-4pm working pattern. No alternating shifts or weekends required!

What youll do:

Electrical:

• Undertake electrical PPMs as required to ensure equipment reliability.
• Fault Finding, installations, modifications.
• Ability to read, understand and modify electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of PLCs / instrumentation, input / outputs and able to make modifications.

Mechanical:

• Undertake mechanical PPMs as required to ensure equipment reliability.
• To attend to faults and breakdowns as required ensuring minimal impact on operations.
• TIG, MIG, Stick Welding/pipe fitting (Desirable).

Other duties:

• To provide an out of hours call out facility on a Rota basis with other team members.
• At all times to behave in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation, and assist in ensuring all contractors are complying with H&S standards.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering Manager in planning works and small projects, and ensure that safe working practices are adopted.
• To be committed, both at work and during training, and to actively take part in and contribute to the review process.
• On call 1 week in 4 for 4 evenings, Monday to Thursday.

What youll bring:

• Mechanical / Electrical Apprenticeship.
• HNC / HND / City and Guilds qualifications in relevant subjects.
• BS 7671 18thedition.
• Time served experience with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with working with PLCs.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good knowledge and understanding of CMMS Systems.
