Job summary

SEA LIFE London Aquarium is seeking a robust Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe, continuous operation of life support systems, exhibits, and building infrastructure.

You will perform planned preventive maintenance on mechanical plant equipment, service pumps, lighting, DMX systems, and PLC fault finding, while carrying out PAT testing and AHU/chiller maintenance. Roles include general repairs and safety duties in a busy public venue.

Qualifications

• Proven working history as Engineer/Technician in factory facilities, manufacturing, or heavy industrial background.
• Degree, City & Guilds or ONC, NVQ Level 2-3 or BTEC equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities with proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain critical marine life support systems and building infrastructure and ensure compliance.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on mechanical plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot lighting, PLC controls, DMX lighting across exhibits.
• Carry out PAT testing and HVAC/AHU, chiller maintenance.
• Handle general facility repairs and safety responsibilities.
