Morgan Ryder Associates in Chorley is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical Bias to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will rapidly respond to production breakdowns, minimise downtime, and keep critical equipment operating reliably on a 4-week rotating schedule.
The role emphasizes electrical bias and hands-on maintenance, with opportunities to support shift engineers, undertake planned repairs, and drive improvements in safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Apprentice-trained electrical/multi-skilled maintenance engineer with HNC/HND.
- Experience in process plants, utilities or energy-intensive manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
- Ability to perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, 3-phase motors and inverter drives.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Respond rapidly to production breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Provide technical support to shift engineers and apprentices.
- Perform essential planned maintenance and repairs.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovative project work.
- Promote and ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors and colleagues to achieve company goals.
