Job summary

Target Housing Ltd in Rotherham is seeking a Joiner - Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Maintenance team. You will carry out planned, reactive and emergency repairs to a high standard within agreed timescales.

Joinery work includes doors, architraves, skirting and installing kitchens. A full driving licence is essential, and you will work both independently and as part of a team to maintain housing stock.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work for buildings and facilities.
• Complete joinery tasks such as studwork, roofing joinery, hanging doors, skirting boards, architraves and installing kitchens.
• Basic plumbing tasks.
• Assist and liaise with external contractors as necessary.
• Undertake emergency jobs related to weather impact on buildings and grounds.
• Maintain buildings and offices to comply with current legislation.
• Attend team meetings, supervisions and training as directed.

We are hiring a Joiner - Multi-Skilled Operative at Target Housing to join our Maintenance team.

Location: Rotherham, S60 1BY

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (39 hours per week)

Main Purpose:

To maintain the properties within the Target portfolio to a high standard. To carry out planned, reactive and emergency repairs as and when required within agreed timescales.

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

• Work independently on task lists
• Maintenance and repair work for buildings and facilities
• Completing joinery, such as but not limited to: studwork, roofing joinery, hanging doors, skirting boards, architraves and installing kitchens

• Basic plumbing tasks
• Assist and liaise with external contractors and others as necessary
• Undertake emergency jobs (e.g. reacting to the impact of weather conditions on buildings and grounds)
• Be involved with building and maintenance work, when required, to alter or create workspaces suitable for the needs of the business
• Maintenance of buildings and offices to comply with current legislation
• Attend team meetings, supervisions, and training as directed
• To understand and comply with Health and Safety regulations
• Undertake any other duties as required to meet the needs of the organisation

Person Specification
