Job description

Arc has 16 properties and is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to help ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have suitable qualifications and experience within the building industry and property maintenance. You will have empathy with people experiencing homelessness and a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out maintenance repairs across various trades to all areas of Arc properties, including grounds maintenance, to ensure high standards.
2. Working on refurbishment projects with team members and liaising with suppliers and contractors.
3. Coordinating with contractors, including scheduling appointments, handling emergencies, and routine repairs.
4. Calculating and sourcing materials accurately and efficiently.
5. Handling collections and deliveries, including donated equipment and assisting with moving furniture or appliances.
6. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Maintaining repair records using Arc’s IT systems, including MS Office.

Additional Details:

• Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday
• Location: Taunton & Bridgwater
• Salary: £26,078 with benefits such as free parking, sick pay, health insurance, and a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.
• Requirements: Basic IT skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Must have a full driving license; if using own vehicle, access to a reliable vehicle with business cover.
