Job summary

PR O-Pak Foods Ltd in Malton, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support overnight and day shifts. The role covers breakdown resolution, planned maintenance, and site improvement initiatives across a busy food manufacturing facility.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, drive lean improvements, and work with a PPM schedule to ensure high equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with electrical & mechanical qualifications (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC etc).
• HACCP and GMP qualification required.
• Safe systems of working must be demonstrated.
• Experience in LEAN manufacturing with LEAN tools like TMP.
• Knowledge and understanding of OEE.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability across machinery and processes.
• Operate and support a PPM schedule alongside breakdown work.
• Provide mechanical and electrical support and fault diagnosis on site.
• Support installation of new equipment and upgrades.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering

Malton, North Yorkshire

Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00/ 14:00 - 22:00

Salary £45,875

Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs work with our customers and have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

To help support our growth plans, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineering to join our fantastic team.

In this role, you will support the running of the factory and will resolve breakdowns and deliver planned maintenance.

You will also be required to drive improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, hygiene, quality and performance.

Key Accountabilities:

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance work
• Working to ensure continuous improvement across the site
• Working with an implemented PPM schedule alongside breakdown activity
• Delivering all operational mechanical and electrical support on site
• Conducting fault diagnosis, breakdown cover and equipment installation

• Knowledge and understanding of OEE.
