Job summary

Sierra 57 Consult Ltd is assisting an established injection moulding manufacturer to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis. You will provide breakdown cover and maintain moulding machines, robotics and automation equipment.

You will apply your electrical and mechanical expertise to fault find, repair and preventative maintenance, aiming to maximise uptime and overall equipment effectiveness while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Time-served maintenance engineer with multi-skilled electrical and mechanical background.
• Proven fault finding and repair experience on injection moulding machines.
• Strong electrical, mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with robots, automation systems and ancillary equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical control systems.
• Proactive problem-solving to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift breakdown cover on injection moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs on injection moulding machinery and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems across manufacturing equipment.
• Identify improvements to machinery performance, reliability and OEE.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with the installation, modification and improvement of machinery and automation equipment as required.

Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their team on a contract basis.

Remit:

• As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover and maintaining injection moulding machines, automation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
• You will have strong electrical and mechanical skills, with proven experience in fault finding, problem solving and repairing injection moulding machinery, robots and automated systems.
• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in injection moulding maintenance.

Role:

• Experience working with injection moulding machinery, robots, automation systems and associated ancillary equipment.
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical control systems.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• A proactive approach to problem solving, reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
