Job summary

Recruitme is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production environment in Cambridgeshire. The role covers planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs, with involvement in engineering projects and site improvements.

You will report to the Engineering Team Leader and ensure production runs safely with minimal downtime, while contributing to reliability and safety improvements across production machinery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of health & safety practices.
• Collaborative approach and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and completing effective reactive repairs.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Prioritising maintenance work around production needs.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects focused on reliability and efficiency.
• Assisting with engineering projects and equipment modifications.
• Managing spares and replacement components.
