Job summary

Probe Technical Recruitment are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team within a well-established manufacturer of high quality products. You will maintain plant and machinery, performing both planned preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

The role operates on a Monday-Friday AM/PM split (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) with no weekend work, offering a good work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised maintenance qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Experience with CNC/PLC or PC-controlled machine tools or process equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
• Own reactive tasks to completion and ensure smooth handovers to the maintenance supervisor.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a range of manufacturing plant and machinery. Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.

The role operates on a Monday-Friday alternating AM/PM shift pattern: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm, offering a great work-life balance with no weekend working.

Along with a recognised maintenance qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, the ideal Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have experience of CNC / PLC/ PC controlled machine tool or process control/production equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings including PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.

Requirements/ Duties for the role of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• When reactive job is allocated ensure that the task is personally owned and followed through to completion or when shift handover required the maintenance supervisor is given all the correct information.
• Personally own any planned preventative tasks issued and liaise with operations to ensure task is completed to a high standard, with minimal operational disruption.

We would be looking to talk also to Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Electrician's/ Maintenance Engineers, and the role is commutable from Nuneaton, Coventry, Leicester, Hinckley and Rugby.
