Job summary

Probe Technical Recruitment are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a growing engineering team in a well-established manufacturing environment. You will perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of plant and machinery to reduce downtime and improve output.

The role operates Monday–Friday with alternating 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm shifts. You will benefit from a competitive £51,000 salary, generous holidays, a contributory pension, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires a recognised maintenance qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.
• Experience with CNC/PLC/PC controlled machinery or process equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret PLC, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to manufacturing plant and machinery.
• Minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
• Liaise with operations to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and with minimal disruption.

Probe Technical Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing, medium-sized engineering team within a well-established manufacturer of high-quality, beautifully crafted products.

As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a range of manufacturing plant and machinery. Working as part of a close‑knit engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.

The role operates on a Monday–Friday alternating AM/PM shift pattern: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm, offering a great work‑life balance with no weekend working.

Along with a recognised maintenance qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, the ideal Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have experience of CNC / PLC/ PC controlled machine tool or process control/production equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings including PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.

Requirements/ Duties for the role of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• When reactive job is allocated ensure that the task is personally owned and followed through to completion or when shift handover required the maintenance supervisor is given all the correct information.
• Personally own any planned preventative tasks issued and liaise with operations to ensure task is completed to a high standard, with minimal operational disruption.

We would be looking to talk also to Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Electrician’s/ Maintenance Engineers, and the role is commutable from Nuneaton, Coventry, Leicester, Hinckley and Rugby.
